Team Jef

I had a bachelorette finale party at my house on Sunday night.. Emilee and Michele came to help celebrate.  We were super excited to see Jef and Emily together.  I feel so much better about Emily sending Sean home now that I know her and Jef are such a good couple together!

I made cookies for both the boys even though we knew arie didn't have a shot...

I was pretty excited about them!! They tasted good too :)

We were all pulling for Jef! (After Sean left)

And he got the last rose!! Haha!

Emilee and I were super tired here but she brought me a rose!

I'm a little sad that the season is over, but we are all hoping Sean will be the next bachelor!!

Slacklining

On the 4th we went to VA and hung out with my Mom's side of the family.  My cousin Trevor has always been the wild child/risk taker/absolutely insane member of our family.  So when he told me his new hobby was slacklining, I had no clue what he was talking about.  Well... I soon found out.  Basically it is when you tie up a thin, flat rope on two trees about 4 feet off the ground and then walk across it.  Of course, Trevor had all the gear with him at my grandmother's house because he cannot have one single relaxing day. :) So Tyler and I said we would help him set it up and watch him do it.  After an hour of getting it all set up with hundreds of cables and clips it was ready to go.  So first Trevor demonstrated for us and made it look easy....
This "sport" is all about balance. Trevor has been doing it for about a year now and is very, very good..
Since he made it look so easy I thought, what's the harm in trying it? (besides falling off and breaking my hip) So I made Tyler and Trevor swear under oath that they wouldn't leave either side of me!
And up I went...

If you can't tell which one Trevor is from my description of wild child earlier, he is the one with all the tattoos :).....  Once you get up on the slackline it sags down and bounces with your steps so it looks a little lower to the ground and you can't tell just how wobbly it is!! I was pretty scared here but proud of myself for trying! Next up was Tyler..
He had to have assistance too so I felt better.. it really is HARD! Did I mention that?
Well we took a break to eat some yummy food and then I found some courage I never knew I had to try it again!

As you can see here I got extremely brave and let go of the boys... This pic is a little deceiving though, I could only stand like that for 2.3 seconds before I had to have help!

Then Trevor showed us how its really supposed to be done!! Check out his professional skills...

Gym

LOL, I love this ecard!! I've been to the gym in the past 5 years but I'm definitely not a regular visitor... I always say at night that I'm going to get up in the morning and work out... But it just doesn't seem to happen.. I need to start going back to Zumba because it is so much fun.. I'm looking at you Michele.. lets be zumba buddies again :)

Screen Protectors Are Not My Friend

Last night I decided it was time for a new screen protector on my Iphone.  I hadn't put one on since I bought my phone, and the salesman at Verizon did it for me there.  Well, I should have been paying attention. You would think it would be easy to figure out. But no.. the instructions on the package do not make one bit of sense.  I had my husband Tyler try first, and he ended up putting the wrong side on my screen. I can't blame him for getting confused though (awful instructions).  So then I decided I was going to have to try to do it with the last one in the pack.  No turning back!!  I read the instructions over and over again and they were not making sense! I was getting so frustrated because it seems so simple and here we are college educated and can't figure this out!  Finally I had the idea of looking up how to do it on the internet.. because we obviously needed help!  Well, here is who saved the day...

youtube video

After watching the video I was able to put the protector on the right way... The whole experience was very taxing! Ha! I'm laughing now but it was for real stressful.  I think we spent at least 2 hours working on it!

So here is what we learned...
#1 Do not use puregear display protectors

#2 If you make mistake #1, do not read the instructions given.. look for help elsewhere immediately!

And here is how I felt the entire time through the process..

Thanks for listening to my rant :)
